EA and DICE have officially revealed details for the upcoming Battlefield 6 open beta, with early access starting as soon as August 7. Whether you’re a series veteran or just here to blow things up with friends, here’s what you need to know before you dive in.
Beta Dates
- August 7–8: Early access via Twitch drops or Battlefield Labs sign-up
- August 9–10: Open access for all players
- August 14–17: Second round of the open beta
Preload begins August 4, so you’ll have plenty of time to download before the action kicks off.
Platforms
The beta is available across:
- PS5, PS4
- Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One
- PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, EA App)
Modes & Maps
Two beta weekends will rotate through classic and new multiplayer modes:
- Squad Deathmatch
- Rush
- Empire State (new large-scale mode)
While it’s a multiplayer-only preview, DICE confirmed that campaign and Portal Mode are coming later, closer to launch.
Progression & Rewards
You’ll earn cosmetics and perks during the beta—but none of it carries over to the full game. Think of it as training day—with a free skin or two.
