Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is aiming to rewrite the rules of its own formula. According to Insider Gaming, the game’s campaign will reportedly culminate in a first-of-its-kind finale—rolling straight from a story mission into a 32-player, extraction-style multiplayer match on the Avalon map. No cut to black, no mode select screen—just a seamless shift from narrative beats to live PvP mayhem.
The blending won’t stop there. Black Ops 7 will supposedly integrate campaign and multiplayer progression more deeply than ever before, with weapon unlocks, cosmetics, and Battle Pass rewards shared across both modes. The move is meant to make the game’s multiple pillars feel less like separate silos and more like one cohesive experience.
While that’s good news for most players, Nintendo fans might not share the hype just yet. A VGC report suggests that Black Ops 7 may not launch on Switch 2 alongside other platforms. Sources cite a mix of development scheduling challenges and potential technical constraints, though Activision has yet to make any official announcement on the matter.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is still targeting its planned release later this year, with Activision expected to share more details, including multiplayer previews and a deeper look at Avalon, over the coming months.
