Dead by Daylight is hitting a fever pitch this September—Behaviour Interactive’s latest Original Chapter, Sinister Grace, dives into Thai folk horror, bringing a brand-new Killer, The Krasue, and Survivor Vee Boonyasak to the Fog. The Chapter is now live in the Public Test Build (PTB) and is expected to fully launch later this month.
Creatively, Sinister Grace is one of Behaviour’s most visceral releases to date. Inspired by the terrifying Thai legend of the Krasue—a floating, disembodied head trailing entrails—the new Killer is equal parts grotesque and graceful. “Her body rips and peels open like a blister under pressure,” teases Creative Director Dave Richard. The Killer alternates between two forms: a frail but fast head form with a deadly “Intestinal Whip,” and a slower body form with ranged projectiles via the “Leeching Gland.”
Meanwhile, the new Survivor, Vee Boonyasak, is a punk drummer from the fictional band Axekick, bringing rhythmic flair and music-themed perks to the trial. Both the Killer and Survivor add three new perks each, including the first new Hex perk since Castlevania.
Sinister Grace is part of the game’s Year 10 roadmap, which also features collaborations with The Walking Dead, Castlevania, and the recently announced Tokyo Ghoul Chapter. For Behaviour, this folkloric dive into Thai horror is both a tonal shift and a signal that Dead by Daylight is still willing to take risks—visually, narratively, and mechanically.
Whether you’re a longtime Fog-dweller or just floating in, this is a Chapter worth watching—just maybe not before bed.
