TiMi Studio Group’s Delta Force is having its moment—and it’s not subtle. The tactical free-to-play FPS just shattered its all-time concurrent player record on Steam, climbing to a whopping 177,862 concurrent players on July 6. For context: that’s nearly double Call of Duty’s recent 30-day PC peak.
Launched on PC and mobile earlier this year, Delta Force has quietly built serious momentum thanks to a mix of large-scale PvP battles, extraction shooter systems, and a full campaign nodding to the classic Black Hawk Down. The game’s steady rise from an April average of around 55,000 daily players to well over 160,000 in early July wasn’t a fluke—and this weekend’s spike confirms that Delta Force has carved out real staying power.
And it’s about to get even bigger. The team just announced that the new season, simply dubbed “Break,” is now live, bringing new content, multiple in-game events, fresh battle pass rewards, and store updates. Highlights include a new Operative, extra PvP and PvE events, and the kind of loot haul that’ll keep grinders glued to the battlefield. In other words: it’s the calm before the shoot-storm.
All of this is building toward the console launch on August 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, which will open the floodgates even wider. Console players will have full access to the current PC content, complete with cross-play right out of the gate.
SteamDB shows Delta Force surging past 80,000 average players recently, with daily peaks climbing ever higher. It’s a simple formula: it’s free, it’s fun, and it taps into both nostalgia and modern shooter cravings without the usual paywall frustrations.
If you haven’t jumped in yet, now’s the time. With new content dropping, a new platform incoming, and player counts hitting new highs, Delta Force isn’t just breaking records—it’s breaking out.
