Tanjiro and company are back in action with Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2, officially launching today across all major platforms. The anime fighter brings over 40 playable characters, new story arcs from the Entertainment District and Hashira Training, and refined combat mechanics that aim to satisfy both fans and competitive players.
Developed by CyberConnect2 and published by Aniplex and SEGA, Hinokami Chronicles 2 expands on the flashy spectacle of the first game with deeper team synergies and a bigger focus on tactical assists. Each character now features multiple special abilities and a revamped stamina system, giving the sequel more strategic depth compared to its predecessor.
The single-player mode also gets a bump, with cinematic retellings of major arcs, boss fights, and unlockable cutscenes that blend 2.5D visuals with slick anime aesthetics. For online warriors, ranked PvP is available day one with crossplay support between PlayStation and Xbox platforms.
The game is out now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
