Fortnite is about to get a K-pop makeover. Epic Games has confirmed that the KPop Demon Hunters trio, Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, better known as HUNTR/X (Huntrix)—will all arrive in-game on October 2 as part of a full crossover event.

The collaboration brings not just skins, but a brand-new twist on Horde Rush. Dubbed Demon Rush, the mode has squads teaming up with the HUNTR/X trio to survive waves of demonic enemies, a supernatural spin on the co-op favorite. The mode is already visible on Fortnite’s Discover tile with a countdown to its launch, setting the stage for the full release later this week.

All three outfits will hit the Fortnite Shop on the same day, letting fans suit up as their favorite Demon Hunters. IGN’s exclusive first look at Rumi shows how closely the designs mirror their animated counterparts, Zoey’s outfit was also shared on TikTok by singer Rei Ami, who provides her character’s singing voice in the film.

The timing of the collab is just as important. Demon Rush and the HUNTR/X skins will arrive ahead of Fortnite’s annual Fortnitemares Halloween event, which is bringing its own lineup of horror icons like Ghostface (Scream), Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th), the Scooby Doo gang, Art the Clown (Terrifier), and even Doja Cat. By front-loading KPop Demon Hunters, Epic is giving the crossover its own spotlight before the Halloween chaos begins.

It’s also a savvy move. Released this summer, KPop Demon Hunters smashed Netflix records with over 325 million views, becoming the streamer’s most-watched original movie ever. A sing-along version has already hit theaters, with sequels, a live-action remake, and even a stage musical in the works. The Fortnite crossover taps directly into that momentum, bringing the HUNTR/X fandom into one of gaming’s biggest platforms.

With Rumi, Mira, and Zoey landing this week, Fortnite is doubling down on what it does best: merging global pop culture with its own brand of over-the-top fun. For fans, it’s not just about snagging another skin drop—it’s about seeing K-pop idols slash demon hunters carve their way through the island.
