Naraka: Bladepoint is officially four years old—and somehow sharper than ever. NetEase and 24 Entertainment marked the occasion with Naraka Fest Direct 2025, unveiling a brand-new extraction mode called Rift Traversal, a flashy new hero, limited-time collaborations, and a pile of in-game rewards. The new season, Fission, kicks off July 8.

At the heart of the anniversary update is Rift Traversal, a new mode that shakes up Naraka’s formula by blending its martial arts combat with the high-stakes tension of extraction gameplay. Players will hunt for treasures, forge powerful weapons, and battle it out against enemies before racing to the Aegis Tree for extraction. It’s a loot-and-run experience where every fight—and every decision—counts. To keep things fresh, the update adds the Mole Hook for enhanced traversal and introduces an entirely new cultivation system outside matches. Players can craft items, trade, upgrade attributes, and build personal collection rooms, adding a new layer of progression that goes beyond the battlefield.

The season also introduces Inor Wan, a new hero nicknamed Thunder’s Voice, who brings speed and style to the fight. With the ability to literally transform into lightning and dash across the map, Inor Wan offers players high mobility and fast-hitting blade attacks that can turn battles in an instant. He’s a perfect fit for anyone who likes their martial arts served with a little electric flair.

Birthday celebrations wouldn’t be complete without gifts, and Naraka isn’t holding back. Players can log in to claim the Dragon Epoch greatsword skin for free, alongside six new legendary outfits. Fan-favorite collaborations are also making a comeback, including the stylish Naraka x NieR crossover (dates to be announced) and the popular Bruce Lee collaboration, which returns July 9 with new martial arts-themed skins for Akos Hu and Lannie. If you missed it the first time, now’s your chance to suit up.

For those wondering if Naraka is still alive and kicking, the answer is a clear yes. As of July 2025, the game continues to pull in around 36,000 peak concurrent players on Steam, not counting its console audience. The steady rollout of new modes, heroes, and high-profile collabs has helped the game maintain a dedicated player base even in a crowded and ever-changing multiplayer landscape.

If you missed the Naraka Fest Direct or just want to see Inor Wan in action, you can catch the full anniversary showcase below. With Fission Season launching July 8, there’s plenty of martial arts mayhem—and loot—on the horizon.
